FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.

MB Insurance is committed to supporting customers who are experiencing financial hardship or need additional assistance managing their insurance, claims, or payment obligations. We aim to provide timely, respectful and practical support tailored to each customer's individual circumstances.

How we can help

Financial assistance may include:

  • Delaying the date on which a payment must be made;
  • Paying us in instalments;
  • Paying a reduced lump sum amount;
  • Delaying one or more instalment payments for an agreed period; and/or
  • Deducting the excess from the claim amount we pay.

Applying for assistance

If you are experiencing financial hardship or are concerned about meeting your payment obligations, please contact MB Insurance as soon as possible. We may ask you to provide information about your circumstances so we can assess your request and discuss appropriate support options.

You can contact MB Insurance on 09 874 4110 or compliance@mbinsurance.co.nz. All requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis, and we will work with you to identify appropriate assistance based on your individual circumstances.

Privacy

MB Insurance will maintain the confidentiality and privacy of customers’ personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and MB Insurance’s Privacy Policy. Information provided for a financial assistance request will be handled sensitively and used to assess and manage the request, administer the relevant policy or claim, and meet legal and regulatory obligations

Additional support

Customers may request extra time, a preferred communication method, accessibility support, or permission for an authorised support person to communicate with MB Insurance on their behalf. Customers experiencing family or domestic violence can tell us about safe ways to communicate with them.
